Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon
Dr Joshua Lau is a specialist ENT surgeon with a broad practice encompassing both adult and paediatric care. He has a particular interest in nasal and sinus surgery, general ENT, and paediatric ENT procedures.
Dr Lau graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2014 and went on to complete a Master of Surgery at the same institution. He completed his internship and residency at Royal North Shore Hospital, where he first developed a strong interest in ENT surgery.
His specialist training took him across New South Wales, including placements in Sydney, Orange, Gosford, and Newcastle, before moving to Queensland to complete advanced training across Brisbane, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr Lau currently provides surgical care at Lingard Private Hospital and Hunter Valley Private Hospital. He offers comprehensive ENT services, with a patient-centred approach that combines evidence-based care with clear communication and compassion.
In October 2025, Dr Lau will be relocating to London to undertake a rhinology fellowship at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), further honing his expertise in complex nasal and sinus surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr Lau enjoys the beach, sunshine, and exploring new destinations through travel.
