Dr Aoife McGarvey
Dr Aoife McGarvey has been a passionate Physiotherapist for over 18 years, with more than 10 years specialising in Physiotherapy and Lymphoedema Therapy after cancer treatment.
Dr Aoife McGarvey has led several funded clinical trials, focusing on maximising physical recovery for cancer survivors. She has been an invited presenter at several national and international cancer conferences.
Physio Living’s focus is on early screening of common physical conditions experienced after cancer surgery and treatment. Our ethos is pro-active management, leading to enhanced and quicker recovery from pain and restriction.
QUALIFICATIONS
PhD (Physiotherapy) University of Newcastle, 2015. Thesis titled “Physiotherapy for head and neck cancer” was awarded the University of Newcastle’s Research Higher Degree Excellence Award for the Faculty of Health and Medicine.
